Rafael Gonzalez Petit Coronas
Rafael Gonzalez Petit Coronas
Approx. Length: 5″ (129mm)
Ring Gauge: 42
Very well balanced, elegant and with an excellent texture, uniform aroma and flavour, the best known Havana from Rafael Gonzalez. With a good draw and combustion and more complexity than expected this is a great cigar.
Rafael Gonzalez cigars were first produced in 1928, but the company’s trademark wasn’t registered until 1936. The range of cigars was first developed as La Flor de Marquez. It wasn’t until 1945 that the name changed to what it is now. The cigars are still produced in the same factory as the famous Romeo y Julieta factory. The taste is ideally suited to the discerning palate. The cigars offer both an abundance of flavour and an elegant style. It is also reported that the brand introduced the Lonsdale size, named after the Fifth Earl of Lonsdale, Hugh Cecil Lowther. The advice inscribed on each box states that the cigars should be smoked within one month of shipment or should be left to mature for at least one year.
