These cigars are blended in the classic light style of Hoyo de Monterrey. The Cigars are part of the Retro Linea range and are packaged in stylish tins that were first made fashionable in the 1970s. The case holds five cigars and is reusable.
The brand was formed in Cuba in 1865 by José Gener y Batet. Hoyo de Monterrey means ‘hole of Monterrey’, referring to the low position of the plantation which Gener bought.
This band of cigars became popular in Britain and the Gener company was soon one of Cuba’s largest cigar factories in the late 1800s.
