In 1876, when Don Luis Martinez opened his first handmade cigar factory in
Cuba at the age of 20, he was committed to providing the finest quality handmade
cigar value available. He soon came to be regarded as the premier
cigar entrepreneur of his day.
The Cuban Revolution forced Don Luis to flee
Cuba and in 1892 he moved his entire operation
to Key West, Florida, where his superb handmade
cigars again became the envy of the industry.
Today, more than a century later, the LUIS MARTINEZ

with the same commitment and passion for cigar
making excellence and value that Don Luis made
when he handmade his first cigar 130 years ago.
Every Silver Selection cigar starts with an especially flavourful blend of Nicaraguan and
Honduran filler tobaccos, aged a full 3 years for extra smoothness and balance, which is
then skillfully hand-rolled into a savory Cuban-seed Nicaraguan binder.
